So the movie.
Having read all of the books several years ago, I'm surprised to say that I actually enjoyed the film more than I did the novels. I can't say that about many movies. In fact, this is only the second that I've been able to claim that (Cider House Rules being the first).
Even more surprising is the fact that I still enjoyed it after being forced into the bottom row of the theatre. It's been out for... 2 weeks now? and yet every seat was full. Normally this isn't a problem, because I'm just one person (as far as I know) and I can sit next to a stranger if need be, but today I took my kid sister and Dad along, so we required three seats, and, naturally, there weren't three in a row... anywhere.
Yargh. Going off on a tangent.
The actors for Narnia were well chosen. Except maybe the Witch. Though it wasn't really the actress that bothered me. It was her hair. I kept staring at it throughout the entire thing, wondering how in the hell she got such tiny dreads. Or how she kept it up in such a tight bun.
...So I'm thinking that I won't be able to give a straight forward analysis of the movie today. Um...
4.5 stars out of 5. 5 stars seems to perfect.
